There is still some time to go for the Ashes. However, such is the nature of rivalry between England and Australia that the mental battle has already begun. While England coach Chris Silverwood has made it clear that he wants Jofra Archer to be fit for the all-important Ashes later in the year, even the Aussies would want to dominate the series this time around at their own home turf. The fans have also started to chip in with their prediction and a young fan made a bold call during the first day of the ongoing Test match between England and New Zealand.

The cute fan, who was wearing a cap autographed by Pat Cummins, displayed a handwritten placard showing the final scoreline of the Ashes 2021-22 series. "Australia- 4, England- 1," it read.

Conway, Robinson impress on Test debut

Meanwhile, the ongoing Test at Lord's which happens to be the debut game for three cricketers has been a happy ground for two of them so far. Notably, while New Zealand have trusted Devon Conway at the top of the order, England's James Bracey and Ollie Robinson are also playing their first game. Both Robinson and Conway have been impressive so far while Bracey is yet to get a turn. Robinson, who is the 100th English player to make his debut at Lord’s, has picked two of the three Kiwi wickets so far while Conway looks set to become the first visiting batsman to score a ton on debut at Lord's since India's Sourav Ganguly in June 1996.
