The recent update from the Commonwealth Games 2022 in Birmingham is that India's Avinash Sable has done the country proud by finishing second and bagging the silver medal in the men's 3000m Steeplechase Final. The 27-year-old finished with a timing of 8:11:20.
Earlier, India’s Priyanka had won the silver medal in the women’s 10,000m race walk final. She produced her best ever performance, finishing with the walk in a record time of 43:38.00. With Avinash and Priyanka's efforts, India now have four medals in the track and field events in Birmingham Games.
