The Indian men’s doubles duo of B Sumeeth Reddy and Chirag Shetty proved too hot to handle for the Sri Lankan duo of Dumindu Abeywickrama and Sachin Dias as the Indian pair beat their Sri Lankan opponents in straight games. Reddy and Chirag won the match 21-10, 21-13 to give India a lead of 4-0 in the Mixed Team event.
Reddy and Shetty dominated the match right from the start as they took the first game 21-10. It did not change much for the Sri Lankan pair as they conceded the second game 13-21. Meanwhile, for India, it was the fourth consecutive win in the Mixed team event. This was then converted into a 5-0 whitewash as the Indian women's doubles pair of Treesa Jolly and Pullela Gopichand beat Thilini Hendahewa/Vidara Suhasni.
