Indian weightlifters are completely dominating the 2022 Commonwealth Games as they are winning medal after medal in different categories. Men lifters in particular have been pretty impressive so far as each one of them has bagged a medal in their respective event. After Sanket Sargar (55kg), Gururaja Poojary (61kg), and Jeremy Lalrinnunga (67kg); Achinta Sheuli (73kg) bagged a medal to make it four in four for India in Men’s weightlifting.

The 20-year-old won the gold medal in the Men’s 73kg final with a massive lift of 313kg (143kg+170kg). Sheuli took an early lead in the Snatch round as he lifted a massive 137kg in his first attempt itself. He then came back to successfully lift 140kg in his second attempt. But the best lift came in the third attempt when the Indian lifted a whopping 143kg with sheer ease to finish at the top of the leaderboard. He also created a Games Record with his final lift.

Achinta continued his dominance in the Clean and Jerk round as well. The 20-year-old went for a lift of 166kg in his first attempt of the C&J round and pulled it off effortlessly. The Indian lifter then added 4 kg to his barbell and but could not lift 170kg in his second attempt. For the third attempt, Achinta went for a lift of 170kg again and completed it successfully to leave everyone stunned in the hall.
