After an absolutely humdinger of a clash between Malaysia and India in the Women's Team quarterfinal at the Commonwealth Games 2022 in Birmingham, it was a heartbreak for India as they lost the match 3-2. While India had lost the doubles game 3-1, Manika Batra and Sreeja Akula won their respective singles game in the second and third match to put India in front.

However, in the end, Karen Lyne and Ying Ho came back to win their respective matches to help Malaysia secure a place in the semifinals while India bowed out.
