After parting ways with Sunrisers Hyderabad, David Warner is undoubtedly one of the most high-profile names who will be on the radar of every franchise now as he is up for grabs. However, all 8 sides will have to wait to know if they will get an opportunity to sign the Aussie or not. This is because the two new franchises have been given a chance to sign 3 players each from the available players.

Both Lucknow and Ahmedabad can secure the services of 1 overseas player (max) each and it has been rumoured that former SRH duo of Rashid Khan and David Warner could be the two picks in the draft. But Warner's recent reply to one of the fans on Instagram suggests a completely different situation.

The left-handed batsman often comes up with entertaining posts on his Instagram account where he shares videos using the 'reface' app. He then communicates with fans in the comments section where he tries to give a reply to many of them.

Warner hints about his future in IPL

In one such latest post of his, someone asked him, "Warner bro, what's up about IPL." This is a question every cricket fan probably wants to ask the Aussie with so much uncertainty around his future. But much to the surprise of everyone, Warner broke his silence on the issue as he commented, "auction I guess" presumably hinting that he is unlikely to move to Ahmedabad or Lucknow in the ongoing draft.

The deadline for two new franchises has been set as December 25 and with only 20 days remaining, it is assumed that they might have approached the players they wish to sign by now. Warner's comment suggests that he is not in talks with either of the two sides.

If it's true, the Aussie is heading to the mega auctions where he will be one of the players that many franchises would be looking to sign, possibly for captaincy roles as well with teams like Royal Challengers Bangalore and Kolkata Knight Riders certainly in search of a new leader.
