Australia opener skipper David Warner has been an integral part of the SunRisers Hyderabad (SRH) in the IPL over the years. Even though he was removed as the skipper of SunRisers Hyderabad (SRH) midway during IPL 2021, Warner' heart still beats for the Orange Army as is evident from his social media handles.  The southpaw regularly replies to his fans on social media with heart emojis.

Warner was replaced as captain in the 14th edition of the IPL by Kiwi skipper Kane Williamson after the Hyderabad skipper struggled to inspire his team. Sunrisers had won just one of their six matches played under Warner's captaincy in IPL 2021 and were at the last spot in the points table. Warner himself struggled to get going and had a strike rate of 110.28 in IPL 2021, his worst in the history of the league.
