David Warner, who led Sunrisers Hyderabad to their maiden IPL title in 2016, recently parted ways with the franchise under controversial circumstances. The Aussie was notably stripped off his captaincy role during the last season before getting dropped from the squad as well. The relationship was certainly getting sour and as it turned out, Warner was released by SRH.

Interestingly, the left-handed batsman rediscovered his form during the T20 World Cup and got his old mojo back. Since then, Warner has been linked with the two new franchises in the ongoing draft. Although he is likely to be get picked by one of them, just in case that doesn't happen, he is set to be one of the hottest prospects in the mega auctions.

What happened between Warner and SRH on social media?

But no matter if goes to the auctions or not, the latest banter between Warner and SRH hints that it is very unlikely that the cricketer will play for the Orange Army anytime in the coming future. Much to everyone's surprise, the Aussie literally trolled his former franchise on Tuesday.

The whole sequence of events started when one of the users on social media asked SRH's new head coach Tom Moody if they will have a good auction this year or not.

Although Tom didn't reply to him, it was David Warner who came up with a sarcastic and cheeky response. The Aussie stated that he doubt it, presumably trolling his former franchise suggesting that they won't have a great auction this year.

In reply, the official account of Sunrisers Hyderabad also entered the banter. However, they chose to follow a safer path! Instead of trolling Warner back, they congratulated the cricketer for his brilliant form during Australia's Ashes win. And unlike the cricketer's reply, the franchise rather wished him luck for a good auction.

It was indeed a hilarious exchange between Warner and his former franchise ahead of the mega auctions and it looks like everything was done in a light-hearted moment.
