DC defeated RR by a margin of 33 runs with the help of their strong bowling performance from Anrich Nortje, Ravichandran Ashwin, & Kagiso Rabada. Initially, RR winning invited DC to bat first and Delhi managed to post a below-par total of 154/6 with the help of Shreyas Iyer & Shimron Hetmyer's batting in 1st innings of the game.
