IPL 2021 started with a bang as fans witnessed a last-ball thriller on Friday, where RCB managed to clinch a 2-wicket win against defending champions Mumbai Indians. The second game also hints at a mouth-watering encounter as CSK faces-off Delhi Capitals on Saturday. However, Delhi Capitals will be without their star all-rounder for their opening game.

Delhi Capitals' team director confirmed that Axar Patel will join the Delhi Capitals' squad in 3-4 days after a couple of negative testing, meaning he will miss the game against CSK. Axar Patel had tested positive for COVID-19 ahead of the start of the IPL 2021. However, he returned negative a few days later.
