Chennai Super Kings' star pacer Deepak Chahar married his longtime girlfriend Jaya Bharadwaj in a grand ceremony on June 2. The right-arm pacer had proposed to Jaya during the last league stage game of the Chennai in IPL 2021. The pacer was seen getting down on his knee with a ring and proposed his girlfriend, as she immediately said yes to the marriage.
A day after his marriage, Deepak shared a picture with wife and gave a special caption to the post. In his special message, Deepak wrote, "When I met you the first time, I felt that you are the one, and I was right. We have enjoyed every moment of our life together, and I promise to keep you always happy like this. One of the best moments of my life. Everyone, pls, give your blessings to us." Reportedly, the reception is slated to be held on June 3 in Delhi.
Earlier, Deepak's brother Rahul Chahar shared a picture from the wedding ceremony. Even CSK's official Twitter handle shared a video of his Haldi ceremony, which featured Rahul Chahar and other members of Deepak's family.
Meanwhile, Deepak Chahar didn't feature in a single match of IPL 2022 due to his back injury. This year, he was Chennai's most expensive pick at the IPL auction and was also the most expensive bowler. However, owing to intensity of his injury, Chahar was ruled out of the entire tournament despite spending a month at the National Cricket Academy in Bengaluru.
In Deepak Chahar's absence, CSK struggled during the IPL 2022 season and finished 9th on the points table.
