Delhi Capitals have unveiled their new jersey for their upcoming game against Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) at the Wankhede Stadium on Thursday. The jersey will be the central point of a partnership with fundraising and fan engagement platform MatchWornShirt and Delhi Capitals. In this initiative, DC will be auctioning these special jersey which will be worn on Thursday against the Kolkata Knight Riders.

Every bid placed on every jersey will help raise funds for the Inspire Institute of Sport (IIS) in Vijayanagar, Karnataka. IIS is JSW Group’s first privately-funded High-Performance Training Centre for talented young athletes across various Olympic disciplines. 

Speaking about the initiative, Tijmen Zonderwijk, Co-Founder, MatchWornShirt said, “It gives us immense pleasure to continue this partnership with the Delhi Capitals that too with a special shirt. Inspire Institute of Sport (IIS) is one great initiative for Indian athletes that JSW Sports has built and has given the nation some of its finest sportspersons." 

“It is a matter of pride for us to be a part of their initiative that is continuing to nurture athletes from across the country and help them in the ongoing development of the sporting landscape in India”, the co-founder added.

The Delhi Capitals suffered a difficult defeat against the Rajasthan Royals which ended in a massive controversy. DC assistant coach opened up about the team’s mood ahead of their clash against KKR as he said, “It's taken a day or two to be able to just digest what happened in the last game and work through that situation and make sure that we just do all the things that we possibly can to make sure our ship's pointed in the right direction.”
