Delhi Capitals ended up defeating Chennai Super Kings in a low scoring thriller and they have went to 1st position in the IPL 2021 points table. Chennai team struggled to the bowling trio of Axar Patel, Kagiso Rabada and Ravi Ashwin. Only Ambati Rayudu batted well for CSK and ensured they posted a decent total of 136 runs.
DC in the chase started off very well but faltered in the middle overs. At one stage, Delhi were reduced to 99/6 after 15 overs. Shimron Hetmyer's terrific knock of 28 from 18 balls in the end ensured DC crossed the winning line with 2 balls to spare and 3 wickets in hand.
