New Zealand and Chennai Super Kings batter Devon Conway and his partner Kim Watson got married in a special ceremony in South Africa. The Kiwi had left the IPL bubble temporarily for his wedding as he flew to his home country. Reigning champions Chennai Super Kings took to social media to announce this news with a picture of the newly weds.

The post was captioned, “We pronounce you Lion and Lady! Happy #WeddingWhistles to Kim & Conway!”. CSK also gave the couple a special surprise as they planned a pre-wedding bash at the team’s hotel. At this party, all players participated and adorned Indian traditional attires where stars like MS Dhoni, Dwayne Bravo, and Ruturaj Gaikwad showed off their moves on the dance floor.

But because of the travel restrictions, Devon Conway isn’t available in the squad for CSK game against Punjab Kings. According to reports, he will re-join the team soon, followed by a mandatory isolation for the next three days before joining the CSK camp.

Fortunately for the four-time champions, their current crop of players are finally coming together as they registered their second victory against arch-rivals Mumbai Indians. Their win was capped off by a vintage big-hitting performance by MS Dhoni who chased down 17 runs in the final over.

Cricket analyst and former India player Aakash Chopra praised MS Dhoni for his performance. Dhoni scored 16 runs off the last 4 deliveries after being on the non-strikers on the first two balls. He said, “You needed 16 runs off four balls. MS Dhoni first hits a six - goes deep in the crease, the yorker was missed and he dismissed it straight down the ground.”

“He hits a four off the next ball, he was ready for the short ball. Then he tries to hit a yorker, the ball goes to deep mid-wicket and he takes two runs. Last ball four runs - to hit a four with a sweep, what is this guy? This guy is ice cool. There was so much pressure but it does not matter to him.”
