With utter joy, Indian veteran wicket-keeper batsman Dinesh Karthik took to social media to announce the birth of his twin boys. The cricket fanatics were stunned as Dinesh Karthik kept his wife’s pregnancy a secret throughout the course of time. Karthik along with wife Dipika Pallikal tied the knot in 2015 and they are surely regarded as one of the most adorable pairs in the cricket fraternity.
Along with Kathrik, Dipika Pallikal is also a sports enthusiast and has represented the country being a professional squash player. Many sports fanatics remember her when she became the first Indian to break into the top 10 in Professional Squash Association Women’s rankings. Furthermore, while announcing such a merry news, Karthik also revealed the names of his twin boys.
Just like that we became 3 to 5: Dinesh Karthik
The name of the new born twins are Kabir Pallikal Karthik and Zian Pallikal Karthik. In the past Dinesh Karthik and Dipika Pallikal were adored for frequently posting about their pet dog. On Thursday, Dinesh Karthik wrote on Twitter, “And just like that we became 3 to 5. Dipika and I have been blessed with two beautiful baby boys. Kabir Pallikal Karthik and Zian Pallikal Karthik. Couldn’t be happier.”
In the tweet posted by the 36-year-old Kolkata Knight Riders wicket-keeper, he along with his wife Dipika could be seen posing happily with both the twin boys in their arms. The first picture also includes their beloved pet dog. While Karthik announced the news on Twitter, Dipika took her Instagram to post pictures of the same.
Safe to say, after being in the limelight for his broadcasting stint during the India vs England Test series, Karthik saw his team KKR fight their way into the IPL final in unprecedented fashion. And the nearly perfect year for Dinesh Karthik has been capped off by the birth of his two lovely twin boys. Having said that, when and where Karthik returns to showcase his commentary skills remains to be seen. Yet, as of now, the 36-year-old is surely on cloud nine.
