Indian cricketer Dinesh Karthik is in the form of his life. After a stellar IPL 2022, the wicket-keeper batter was called-up in India’s T20I squad against South Africa where he played a perfect finisher’s role. Despite few quiet innings against Ireland and England, former cricketers have backed Karthik to find a spot in the upcoming T20 World Cup squad, which is scheduled to be played in Australia in couple of months time.

The Indian wicket-keeper has revealed many times in the past how he is training hard to get a chance in the upcoming T20 World Cup. However, Dinesh Karthik was recently asked about his plans for the ODIs. Notably, Karthik is currently not part of India's ODI assignments.

During a visit at former Indian pacer Pankaj Singh’s cricket academy in SMS Stadium Jaipur, Dinesh Karthik was asked if he is planning to make a comeback In 2023 ODI World Cup, which is scheduled to be played in India.

However, Dinesh Karthik revealed he isn’t allowed to currently comment on anything related to Indian cricket till he reaches West Indies for the T20I series.

“I have been informed to not make any comment on Indian cricket till I reach West Indies. Sorry”, Dinesh Karthik said.

Notably, the 37-year-old is part of the T20I squad that is set to play a 5-match series against West Indies, starting from August 1.
