Hardik Pandya made a remarkable comeback in Indian team after a long battle with injury. After delivering back-to-back impressive performance in recent bilateral contests, Hardik has cemented his position in white-ball cricket and have left everyone awe with his incredible all-round skills.
The 28-year-old all-rounder starred in the third one day international against England as he stitched crucial 133-run partnership with Rishabh Pant and scored 71-runs off 55 balls to help India win the series 2-1. Earlier in the game he had picked four wickets to register his best bowling figures in the ODIs. His back-to-back remarkable performances in the three-match ODI series against England earned him the Player of the Series award.
While the cricket fraternity was left awestruck of Hardik Pandya‘s outstanding comeback at international stage, former Pakistan fast bowler Shoaib Akhtar has warned the Indian all-rounder for not enjoying too much off the field and called him a ‘rare talent.’ While speaking on his YouTube channel, Shoaib Akhtar said that he was happier that Pandya has managed to return as an all-rounder rather than as a pure batter.
“He completes the team. He brings balance in the squad. He got a good jolt. While staying away from the team for over two years, Pandya has realized the importance of playing for the nation. He is proving everyone that he is not casual about his game anymore,” said former Pakistani cricketer.
The legendary pacer also suggested Pandya to realize his responsibility and focus on his game. “He will get all kinds of fame, money and respect so just stay focused Hardik,” added Shoaib Akhtar.
