Indian Premier League (IPL) never fails to surprise its fans. Over the years, there has been one game that has turned out to be an absolute thriller. Match 66 played between Lucknow Super Giants and Kolkata Knight Riders was the one in the 15th edition of the league. The match had so many twists and turns that Christopher Nolan would take a shy.
After posting a mammoth 210-0 in their 20 overs, LSG bowlers were also handed a similar treatment by KKR batters. The Shreyas Iyer-led team showed great intent to keep the opposition player on their toes. Nitish Rana and Shreyas Iyer started the assault and Rinku Singh continued it till the 20th over.
The southpaw batter partnered with Narine to put on a show and keep his team alive in the chase. Rinku also scored 18 runs of the first four balls of the 20th over. Although he failed to take his side home, it was some effort from the youngster. Meanwhile, Lucknow finally got a ‘Q’ against their name with nine wins in 14 games.
Earlier, Quinton de Kock made the most of the second chance he got as the LSG opener scored an unbeaten 140 off 70 balls. KL Rahul also chipped in with his 68*.
