We all know how good a character Rahul Dravid is. He is known for his humble behaviour in the cricket fraternity. Even today, cricketers who played alongside Dravid never hesitate to praise him for his character. Former cricketer Irfan Pathan, who was a part of India's 2007 World Cup campaign, recently recalled an incident that involved him, Dhoni, and Dravid. Pathan praised Rahul Dravid for his compassion for his fellow cricketers.

“I remember a very small incident from the 2007 World Cup in the West Indies. He (Dravid) came to me and MS Dhoni. He said, ‘Look, we are all upset. Let's go for a movie. We went to watch the movie and then he said, ‘look, yes we lost the world cup. We all wanted to make a big difference. But this is not the end of it. Life is much bigger. We will come back tomorrow.’ That's the kind of character he is. He is always looking to put cricketers in a positive frame of mind. So, if someone, unfortunately, goes out of form in Sri Lanka, if that happens he will be the first one to guide him and give confidence,” said Pathan.

Currently, Rahul Dravid is accompanying the senior men's team to Sri Lanka as the head coach. India is off to Sri Lanka to play 3 ODIs and as many T20Is. Shikhar Dhawan will lead the side in the absence of Virat Kohli.
