The England and Australian sides went on to celebrate after the Ashes tournament that was recently concluded. However, in a shocking turn of events, police interfered with players' celebration after a noise complaint was filed for loud music.

In a video, that has gone viral, members of the England and Australia squads were spoken to by the police after a noise complaint was received for playing loud music on the terrace. In the video, Alex Carey, Travis Head, and Nathan Lyon along with English cricketers being confronted by at least four police personnel.

The group of players were asked to go inside the hotel from the terrace. Now, England Cricket Board has apologised for the incident and has started investigating the matter.

“The England party have apologised for any inconvenience,” ECB’s statement said. “The hotel management received a noise complaint by a hotel guest and, as is commonplace in Australia, the local police attended the scene.

“When asked to leave by hotel management and the Tasmanian police, the players and management in question returned to their respective hotel rooms. The ECB will investigate further. Until such times, we will make no further comment”, the board said in a statement.

Notably, after the Ashes defeat, England's captain Joe Root has been under the scanner for the team's performance. However, he vowed to continue to serve as Test captain and work on the required areas.
