Another game, another win for Gujarat Titans (GT). Such has been the dominance of the Hardik Pandya-led team this season. This time it was Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) who faced the wrath of GT. The Titans beat RCB by 6 wickets in their ninth game of the season as they chased down 171 with ease.
Rahul Tewatia and David Miller stepped up to the challenge as they produced a match-winning partnership of 79 runs for the fifth wicket. While Miller remained unbeaten 39, Tewatia returned with a score of 43*. For RCB, it was a third consecutive loss. After opting to bat first they posted 170/6 in their 20 overs but their bowlers failed to stop GT batters from chasing the total down.
Shahbaz Ahmed and Wanindu Hasaranga tried to apply some pressure with two wickets each but their efforts went in vain as RCB conceded too many runs in the slog overs. However, they would be happy to see their star batter, Virat Kohli, back among runs.
