New Zealand all-rounder Daryl Mitchell continued his brilliant run with the bat in the ongoing second Test after scoring a century in the first Test at the Lord’s. Mitchell remained unbeaten on 81 at the end of Day 1 of the Trent Bridge Test.

Amidst all this, a hilarious turn of events took place during the game. Daryl Mitchell, who was at strike, smashed a humongous six over long-on in the 56th over of New Zealand’s first innings. The ball landed inside a fan's beer glass and England pacer Matthew Potts who was placed close to this position was seen gesturing that the ball landed in someone’s beer.

However, it was later revealed that New Zealand team had provided the fan, named Susan with a new pint. Also after the day’s play ended, Mitchell went up to Susan and apologized for the same. The video of the same has been shared by the BlackCaps official social media handle.
