England, who were looking good with bat at the start of their 2nd innings, eventually lost the match to India by 157 runs. England had a 100-run opening partnership, with Haseeb Hameed and Rory Burns scoring 50-plus, respectively. However, post that opening partnership, England's middle-order totally collapsed to the Indian bowling attack without putting a fight. Other than Joe Root's 36, none of the other batsmen from the team could put up a decent score and they were bundled out for 210 runs.
