The rescheduled 5th Test match between England and India will be played in Edgbaston, Birmingham from 1 July 2022. The hosts England are trailing the Test series by a margin of 1-2 after first four matches and unfortunately 5th Test got postponed indefinitely due to the COVID outbreak in the Indian camp. India were on brink of winning a Test series on England soil for first time after 2007.

Looking at the new English side under Brendon McCullum they have played aggressive brand of cricket to whitewash New Zealand by 3-0 margin and going forward would look to continue the same momentum against India. Indian team will be unfortunately missing the services of both their openers KL Rahul and Rohit Sharma who were instrumental in those two Test wins for India in 2021.
