Despite a herculean effort from Suryakumar Yadav, India ended up on the losing side in the third T20I against England on Sunday. However, as they had already won the first couple of matches, they clinched the T20I Series by a 2-1 margin. England won the toss and opted to bat first in the final T20I, managing to post a huge total of 215/5 on board with the help of Dawid Malan's stylish knock worth 77 off 39.

Malan's innings was ably supported by Liam Livingstone at the other end. Resting senior bowlers like Bhuvneshwar Kumar, Jasprit Bumrah and Hardik Pandya didn't help India's cause in this dead rubber game as their replacements conceded far too many runs for their liking.

Suryakumar Yadav played a sensational innings bringing up his century (117) but unfortunately other than Shreyas Iyer none of them supported him at the other end which meant India lost this game by 17 runs. Virat Kohli and Rohit Sharma started the chase with positive intent after Rishabh Pant's dismissal but unfortunately, both of them couldn't convert it into big scores and got dismissed for 11 runs each. Among England bowlers, Reece Topley outshined all the Indian batters as he picked 3 key wickets and gave away just 22 runs off his 4 overs quota.
