The England cricket team have announced their squad for the third Test match against India. The squad announcement comes immediately after the team’s big defeat in Chennai. While explosive wicketkeeper-batsman Johnny Bairstow, speedster Mark Wood and opener Zak Crawley make it back to the squad, left-arm all-rounder Sam Curran has missed out. Notably, Johnny Bairstow and Sam Curran were left out of the first two Test matches because of England’s new rotation-policy for their multi-format players.

Moeen Ali to return home

Keeping in mind the pink ball Test at Ahmedabad under the lights, England’s bowling department has been bolstered by the addition of Mark Wood. Zak Crawley has also returned after recovering from the wrist injury. Notably, Moeen Ali has not been included in the squad. Earlier, captain Joe Root confirmed that Ali will head back home after the second Test
