Sachin Tendulkar is widely regarded as one of the greatest batters ever to play the game. The former India cricketer holds the distinction of being the highest international run-getter and also has a world record of 100 international centuries to his credit. Despite having hung his cricketing boots in 2013, Tendulkar remains at the zenith of several such records all on his own.

It could easily be concluded then that every opposition was happy at seeing the back of Tendulkar. While the Master Blaster remained out in the middle, India was always in the match, irrespective of the situation.

On the legendary cricketer’s 49th birthday, England cricket supporters, known as “The Barmy Army”, wished the Indian legend but shared an image of the Indian cricket team celebrating the dismissal of the great man. While Tendulkar did not respond to the post, it was Indian leg-spinner Amit Mishra who gave a befitting reply to the post.

Mishra shared a collage of the highs of Tendulkar’s career achieved against England and simply captioned the post on behalf of Tendulkar by saying: “Thanks kids.”
