Rajasthan Royals batsman Liam Livingstone has left franchise's bio-bubble and returned home due to bubble fatigue accumulated over the past year. The Englishman was part of the RR squad and was picked by the franchise in IPL 2021 Auction.

All-rounder flies back home

The franchise confirmed the news on Tuesday and stated that they completely understand and respect the decision of Liam Livingstone in these difficult times. RR also added that they will continually provide the required support to the 27-year-old in whatever capacity they can.

Busy few months for Livingstone

The England all-rounder has spent some time in bio-bubbles for the last few months. After participating in Big Bash League, Livingstone was called by England for the limited-overs series against India. The right-handed batsman made 63 runs in 2 matches and even had a wicket to his name. He looked in good form and with Ben Stokes injured and RR struggling, Livingstone would have got an opportunity in upcoming matches.

However, it seems like it was getting a bit too difficult for the English cricketer in these unprecedented times as he took such a big decision. Notably, Livingstone is not the first cricketer to pull out due to bio-bubble fatigue. Earlier, Josh Hazlewood and all-rounder Mitchell Marsh too decided to take back their name from IPL 2021 due to personal reasons. While Jason Behrendorff and Jason Roy were signed by the respective sides later, RR might now also need to put their thinking hats on to sign replacements for both Livingstone and Stokes.
