KRAFTON India has announced the introduction of the BGMI ‘Player Transfer Window’, a first-of-its-kind structured system that formalizes how players associate with and move between esports clubs within the Battlegrounds Mobile India (BGMI) ecosystem.

Inspired by traditional sports, the transfer window establishes defined periods during which clubs can make roster changes, ensuring that transfers are conducted transparently, fairly, and in line with tournament regulations. The initiative marks a major step in professionalizing BGMI esports by promoting stability, accountability, and strategic team building across seasons.

How does BGMI Transfer Window work?

The first BGMI player transfer window is currently live from October 1 to November 15, 2025, with the next window scheduled to open on April 1, 2026.

How It Works:

Each registered club operates under a verified owner or In-Game Leader (IGL) who manages player movement approvals. All transfers are overseen by KRAFTON India to maintain regulatory compliance and fair play.

  • Registered transfers can take place only during the official transfer windows
  • Free agents (unaffiliated players) can join clubs at any time
  • Every transaction is logged, verified, and tracked to maintain transparency

Getting Started: Clubs can set up and manage their rosters directly through the KIE dashboard:

  • Log in using registered credentials.
  • Go to the “My Teams” section.
  • Invite or remove players or accept join requests.
  • Submit your roster for verification.

Once approved, clubs become eligible to compete in upcoming official and sanctioned third-party tournaments on the KRAFTON India Esports platform. Each club can register one active team (4–5 players) to ensure balanced and competitive play.

Speaking about the initiative, Karan Pathak, Associate Director, Esports, KRAFTON India, said: “With the Player Transfer Window, we’re taking a significant step toward professionalizing esports operations in India. It gives players and Clubs a clear, transparent framework to manage rosters efficiently and responsibly, while laying the foundation for a more sustainable and globally aligned esports ecosystem."
