The Event Managers Cricket League 2022 has commenced. On Day 2 of the T20 league on Saturday, as many as three fixtures were played at the KGF Cricket Ground, Jaisinghpura, Kakdoda in Jaipur.
In the first match between the Fairmont and Romil Vibgyor Events, Fairmont won the toss & elected to bat. The Fairmont side posted 148/7 in their 20 overs with Utsab top-scoring with 32 from 24 balls. Vikram Singh also chipped in with 31 runs off 34 deliveries.
For Romil Vibgyor Events, Akhilesh and Romil Jain picked up 2 wickets each. However, Fairmont did a good job defending their score and restricted the opposition to 130/9. Raghav's 35 (24) and Rohit's 19 (24) weren't enough for Romil Vibgyor Events to clinch the game.
In the next match of the day, EMCL XI produced a comfortable 8-wicket win over JJ Club. While EMCL XI had curtailed JJ Club to just 102 with the help of Nishant's 4/11 and Debu's 3/8, they chased down the score in just 8.2 overs with 8 wickets in hand. Rahul Pareek 35 (12) and Nishant 32 (13) were the star performers for EMCL XI with the bat.
In what was the final game of the day, Eventon also tasted a comfortable 9-wicket victory against Glitz Travel. Although GT managed 81/9 in 20 overs, Eventon finished it off in just 6.4 overs. Gaurav Sachdeva (4/15 and 32 runs) was the star performer for the winning team. Aryan Jangid's gritty 32 and spell of 1/5 were the only positives for Glitz Travel.
