Event Managers Cricket League Day 3 round-up: Event Yoddhaaz Entertainment, JC XI and Glitz Travel register wins

There were three more fixtures slated on Sunday.

It was yet another day of cricketing battles at the Event Managers Cricket League 2022. On Day 3 of the competition on Sunday, there were another three matches scheduled to be played at the KGF Cricket Ground, Jaisinghpura, Kakdoda in Jaipur.

In the first match of the day Event Yoddhaaz Entertainment and Fairmont, it was the Event Yoddhaaz Entertainment side who registered a thumping victory by 60 runs. After opting to bat first, the eventual winning side had posted 174 despite getting bowled out in 17.3 overs. Ashwini Jadiya 34 from 20, Manish Paridwal 30 from 21 and Rakesh Yadav 21 off 10 balls were the star performers with the bat.

Ganesh Rajput (3/30) and Vikram Singh (3/34) did pick up wickets from Fairmont but couldn’t stop Event Yoddhaaz Entertainment to reach a strong total. In response, Fairmont were bowled out for 114 with Shubham Chamoli top-scoring with 41 from 42. Karan Dhamonia (3/19) and Umesh Baghel (3/22) were the best bowlers from the winning side.

In the second game of Sunday which was between the JC XI and Romil Vibgyor Events, JC XI tasted a win by 7 wickets. Romil Vibgyor Events had actually won the toss & elected to bat but could only post 137 runs. Durga Shankar 38 off 39 balls was the leading run-getter. Ravi Mandal (3/11) and Jitesh Chawla (3/23) were the top performers with the ball for JC XI.

The chasing side reached their target in 14.2 overs with Ujjwal 35 (26) and Ravi Mandal 33 (19) shining with the bat. Devesh and Rinku were the lone wicket-takers for Romil Vibgyor Events sharing the three wickets to fall.

The final game of the day was between EMCL XI and Glitz Travel where Glitz Travel won the toss & elected to bat and posted 125. Later, EMCL XI batted for 8 overs and managed 56/5 and Glitz Travel were adjudged the winners, courtesy of the DLS method.

The result meant Ganesh’s all-round effort (19 runs & 4/20) went in vain. Sudesh Sihag 24 (19) was the leading run-getter for the winning team while Aryan Jangid scalped 3 wickets for 20 runs.
