Event Managers Cricket League Day 5 round up: Everton and Event Yoddhaaz Entertainment cruise into finals after comprehensive victories in semis

The Event Managers Cricket League is all set for the clash of titans. Event Yodhaaz Entertainment and Everton are the two finalists of the current season as both will lock horns on Wednesday (April 6th) to lift the prestigious title. On Tuesday, both the semi-finals took place where Everton defeated Fairmont in the first semi-finals while Event Yoddhaaz Entertainment emerged victorious against EMCL XI in the second clash of the day.

In the first match of the day, Everton’s Sanjay Singh delivered a match-winning all-around performance in the game to ensure victory for his side. First, he clinched three wickets in the game and later hit a sizzling 37 off eight balls to guide his side into the tournament final. Singh’s 37, Gaurav Sachdeva’s 32 off 9 and a cameo from Alekh (12 off 6) guided the side to a comprehensive win in the game.

Everton’s bowlers produced an impressive show in the game as they bundled out the opponent at a mere 104 in just 19.4 overs. Shankar and Sanjay Singh were the standout bowlers as both picked three wickets each in the game and restricted Fairmont to a low score. A collective effort from the batters helped the side reach the championship final.

Meanwhile, the second game was a thriller as Event Yoddhaaz Entertainment successfully chased down 119 in 18.4 overs and knocked EMCL XI out of the title race. Speaking of the match, Deepak Kakkad’s 32 runs and Nanu’s heroics helped the side stun opponents. Nanu scored 26 in 20 balls and hit the winning maximum to guide his side to the finals in style.

For EMCL XI, Viren Singh (42 off 36) and Debu (31 off 16) were the two standout batters as their blistering knocks helped the side post a competitive total of 119/10, which was eventually not enough. Everton and Event Yoddhaaz Entertainment will face each other in the ultimate clash on April 6th, hoping to lift the prestigious title.
