After gracing the Red Bull Ring at Austrian Grand Prix, the F1 season moves to the south of France for the 12th race. The upcoming French Grand Prix is set to treat motorsports fans with yet another exciting weekend. Ferrari are riding high on the back of victories at British GP and Austrian GP, but Red Bull is also not leaving any stone unturned to pull the pole position.

Despite starting from a pole Red Bull's reigning F1 champion Max Verstappen was unable to extract the result he would have expected. Ferrari driver Charles Leclerc clinched the Austrian Grand Prix from second spot for the first time in his F1 career. Meanwhile, Verstappen secured second spot, while seven-time world champion Mercedes driver Lewis Hamilton stationed himself at 3rd position. Red Bull's Max Verstappen extended his lead and stays at the top of the 2022 Driver's standings despite coming 2nd at the Austrian Grand Prix behind Charles Leclerc.

Meanwhile, Charles Leclerc gained position after Sergio Perez retired earlier in the race and is now second on the driver's standings. Verstappen lead the table with 208 points, followed by Leclerc with 170 points. While, Sergio Perez is now third with 151 points.

The French Grand Prix will mark 300th GP for the most celebrated driver of the generation, Lewis Hamilton. Mercedes will surely expect some remarkable performance from the legendary driver to make the race memorable.
