Team India captain Virat Kohli is undoubtedly one of the most famous cricketers in the world. While he has broken all kinds of records on the field of cricket, he is also one of the most popular cricketers on social media with around 120 million followers. However, the huge following on social media brings with itself its fair share of issues in the form of trolls. The meme culture has become a huge part of the lives of cricketers in India as they are often the soft targets whenever they fail to perform.

How Kohli reacts to trolls and memes?

The case with Virat Kohli is no different as he has been trolled over the years either for his aggressive attitude or RCB failing to win IPL or any other reason. However, the 32-year-old has never let all these off-the-field distractions affect his game. While the fans have always wanted to know how he manages to not get affected by the trolls and memes, King Kohli has finally revealed his ninja technique how he encounters them.

With the Indian skipper currently serving a quarantine period in Mumbai, he put out a story on Instagram allowing fans to ask him any questions. In the Q/A session, one of the fans asked Kohli, "How do you react to trolls and memes?" to which Kohli had a brilliant reply. The stylish batsman put up a photo of him demonstrating that all he does is let his bat do the talking.

What is the history behind this photo?

The Indian skipper's trademark celebration became popular in 2018 when he was criticized for his batting during India's tour of Australia. Kohli registered scores of 3 and 34 in the first Test at Adelaide Oval and was trolled on the internet. However, the record-breaking cricketer had put up a batting masterclass in the next Test in Perth as he played a brilliant 123-run knock for the ages. After reaching his century with a glorious straight drive, Kohli had come up with this celebration, where he pointed his gloves towards his bat, signifying that he was letting his bat do the talking.

It was indeed a perfect reply to all the critics and trolls and it seems like King Kohli has been following the same strategy to deal with them since then. With many people trolling him these days for his century drought in the last couple of years, the fans might very well see a repeat of this epic celebration very soon in England.
