Fans demand five-wicket haul from Ishant Sharma as he is set to play 100th Test for India

With Pink Ball Test match just hours away, fans joined the Indian players to congratulate him for achieving the milestone.

Ahead of the Pink Ball Test match between India and England, the buzz has been around two things. One, the humongous stadium and second, Ishant Sharma playing his 100th Test match. On 24th February 2021, Ishant Sharma will become second Indian fast bowler after Kapil Dev to play at least 100 Test matches for India. On Tuesday, the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) posted a video where all Indian cricketers congratulated Ishant and also share their experiences with him.

With Pink Ball Test match just hours away, fans joined the Indian players to congratulate him for achieving the milestone. Fans also demanded Ishant to pick a five-wicket haul against England in the Test match at Sardar Patel Stadium in Ahmedabad. Ishant has picked 302 Test wickets carrying 11 five-wicket hauls.

World Test Championship Scenario

Both teams are still in contention to make it to World Test Championship Finals. India needs to win the series by at least a 2-1 margin or collect 70 points to make it to the final. On the other hand, England needs to win at least three matches or collect 85 points to seal their place in the final. Currently, the series levels 1-1 with two matches still to play.
