Chennai Super Kings' fans had a lot to cherish about during their first innings against Kolkata Knight Riders on Wednesday. The Yellow Army put on a humungous total of 220/3 in 20 overs with Faf du Plessis (95* off 60) leading the charge. MS Dhoni comes to bat at No. 4

It was at 16.3 overs when Moeen Ali was dismissed and the score read 165/2. The fans were wondering whether Suresh Raina will come out to bat or if CSK will send someone like Jadeja or Sam Curran to unleash at the death overs. However, the fans were left in shock and delight at the same time when the saw skipper MS Dhoni himself walking out to bat ahead of all the other players.

It was definitely not the first time that Mahi has walked to bat earlier than expected at the iconic Wankhede Stadium. Although the 39-year-old did not look at his absolute best, he smashed a cracking six off the bowling of Prasidh Krishna, much to the delight of all the cricket lovers. MSD's 8-ball 17 cameo was enough to bring the smiles on the faces of Thala fans.

With Dhoni promoting himself and playing a fiery cameo to him also scoring his first boundary off Sunil Narine in IPL career, Twitter went berserk as they expressed their excitement with a flurry of appreciation posts.
