Team India pacer Ishant Sharma is not part of IPL 2022 as he failed to find a buyer at the IPL 2022 Mega Auction. None of 10 teams showed any interest in the Delhi pacer and as a result, he went unsold in the auction. However, Ishant made a surprise entry during the RCB vs KKR clash on Wednesday as he featured on the virtual guest box. As soon as the fans saw the lanky pacer on their screens, they took to social media to express their shock.
Some fans also expressed their disappointment at the decline of the pacer. One wrote, “Feel For Him, Ek Time Pr India Ka Best Bowler Tha” while another wrote, “Unreal Downfall man” after Ishant Sharma appeared in the virtual guest box during the match.

BCCI did not consider Ishant for SL Tests
The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) selection panel did not consider Ishant Sharma for Sri Lanka Test series. Along with Ishant, Wriddhiman Saha, Cheteshwar Pujara, and Ajinkya Rahane were also not considered as these players have not been able to perform consistently. Notably, Ishant Sharma didn’t get to play any Test on the South Africa tour as he warmed the bench during the Test series, which India lost 2-1. Some reports even claimed that the South Africa tour marked the end of Ishant’s Test career.
