While people have a hard time mulling the right time and occasion to propose one's partner for marriage, a female Australian softball player find her own niche and way of doing it which is doing the rounds on the internet. Her proposal was instantly accepted on a sporting field which also made for an emotional viewing for the netizens after the video has gone viral.

It all unfolded during a softball match where a player faked an injury and when her girlfriend came running on the pitch to see if she was okay, she popped the proposal which was accepted and met with large cheers from everyone around. The athlete involved was Sara Riou who proposed to Jacinta Comande on the pitch.

The incident happened midway through a softball league match at Mirrabooka softball complex in Perth. Riou and Comanade have been dating for two years and wanted to make her proposal the one to remember which has managed to do by any stretch of the imagination.

In the short video, Riou could be clearly seen falling to the ground as if she has picked up a serious injury but as Comande runs to the field when Riou hasn't recovered for a while, she proposes. The couple later were in an embrace as things took a happy turn and shared their emotional moment amid applause from the players and crowd.

Here is the viral video:

"Sara had told me it was this huge game and that she’d invited all our friends and family down to watch. I didn’t suspect a thing, and when she went down injured I was obviously really worried about her," Comande told the Daily Mail.

Comande had later even shared a video on TikTok explaining how the Blue team's coach was actually also involved in the entire ploy.

Earlier India cricketer Deepak Chahar also proposed to his girlfriend Jaya Bhardwaj in the stadium but she was sitting in the stands and not on the cricket field. This happened after Chennai Super Kings' last league match in Indian Premier League 2021 before they ended up winning the final at Dubai.
