After shocking results on Day 1, Team India will have daunting task on the final day of the FIFAe Nations Cup 2022 group stage. With just five points in five games, Charanjot & Co. will aim to qualify for the knock-out stage by attaining top-four spot. India eTigers will have yet another five games on Thursday (July 28) in the FIFAe Nations Cup in Copenhagen at 9:35 PM IST.
Team India started their FIFAe Nations against Italy, one of the top-seeded European teams. Italy had a better chances but failed to convert those, while Indian eTiger went down to the Netherlands 0-1 by facing a defeat with a narrow margin. After showing a lot of potential by going up to two goals to nil within 60 in-game minutes, Charanjot & Co. went down against Poland as they bounced back strongly to bag all three points. India and Mexico settled with a draw, before Indian eTigers registered their maiden victory against Morocco. With 5 points in five games, Team India finished fifth.
Format:
After successfully passing through qualifiers featuring 80 teams, Indian eTigers are making their maiden appearance in the competition. In this stage, 24 teams have been divided into four groups while six teams would play each other twice in a round-robin format. As per the format, top four teams from each group will make their way to the knock-out stages (Round 16).
