India managed a 3-3 draw against Argentina in the FIH Women's Hockey Pro League in Rotterdam in the Netherlands in the first of the twin clashes on Saturday. While Lalremsiami opened the scoring for India to put the Indian eves on the front, Agustina Gorzelandy equalised for Argentina in the second quarter as the teams went to half-time at 1-1.

The second half was more action-packed than the first as initially league winners Argentina took the lead with a goal from Agustina Gorzelany but India's Gurjit Kaur equalised moments later. Gorzelany then completed a hat-trick as she put Argentina in front yet again but the Indian women led by Savita were outstanding as they managed to score an equaliser, thanks to another goal from Gurjit Kaur.

The match then headed into shootouts where Sharmila missed for India followed by Maria missing for Argentina. However, Neha scored followed by Sanchez missing, implying India leading 1-0. Later, while Monika missed for India, Granatto's goal helped Argentina pull one back. But Sonika scored to help India clinch the bonus points as the Indian eves kept Argentina down to 1 goal in the shootout.

The victory was also special as it meant the women's team had managed to avenge their 1-2 defeat against the same opponents in the Tokyo Olympic semifinals.
