Recently, former Indian all-rounder, Yuvraj Singh posted a meme on his Instagram where a woman is playing cricket while the picture had a headline that stated, “If your girlfriend looks like this, she’s a keeper.” Yuvi tagged his wife Hazel Keech and captioned the post, “Indeed !!😁 @hazelkeechofficial !!what say, people?”.
The picture got countless replies and likes but the top comment was by Singh’s wife who wrote, “Yuvraj Singh is finally a dad with his bad dad jokes. Congratulations @yuvisofficial time to get you beige linen shorts and long white socks.” This comment was made recently after the couple celebrated the birth of their child in January.
Surrounding his daddy duties, Yuvraj Singh had posted about how he is preparing to help his wife with chores like diapering or feeding. The post said, “Overwhelmed to share my journey as a father on this Mother’s Day. I believe the best thing we can do for mommies is to be an equal partner in parenting. Be it diapering or feeding, I was always learning but @hazelkeechofficial was just perfect.
Yuvi has been a stalwart of Indian cricket and has often been seen working with youngsters to improve their game. He has also been an inspiration to several budding cricketers who have seen his glorious career. Similarly, in his recent interview, Singh talked about a few players who remind him of his playstyle.
While speaking to Sports18, Singh expressed how Sunrisers Hyderabad’s Abhishek Sharma and Chennai Super Kings Shivam Dube have similar traits to him and said, “I think when I see Abhishek (Sharma), he reminds me a lot about myself. The pull shot, the backfoot shot he hits, I felt I was very much like him”.
“Shivam Dube also has that style, but he has been there for a long time. He is 28 years old and I do not know how much ODI cricket he has played. If you feel that guys have the talent, you need to give them more chances. Shivam or anyone, you have to give them more chances to help them get better,” said Yuvraj.
