Algeria has announced their squad for the 2026 FIFA World Cup and they have already expressed their intent in winning the first game against Argentina. Riyad Mahrez will be their main player in the tournament as their attacking in the final third will be heavily dependent on him. Houssem Aouar will play a key role in the midfield in navigating the play and he could be the maestro that dictates the play in the middle areas. Algeria have been drawn into Group J and it consists of Argentina, Austria and Jordan. They will be hoping to get past the group stage and they do have a fair chance of making it into the knockout stages.
