Antony Dos Santos, 25-year-old Brazilian international footballer, who signed for Manchester United in the year 2022 on a five-year contract is all set to move to a new club. The Brazilian winger spent half of the previous season on loan at the Spanish club Real Betis after failing to make an impression on Manchester United head coach Ruben Amorim.

However, Antony regained his lost form and confidence at Real Betis and played a crucial role, helping them reach the UEFA Conference League Final last season which was their first European final after many years. After the loan spell ended, Real Betis decided to let Antony leave and opted not to extend his loan spell. However, he is one of the many players United is looking to offload this season, recent reports suggest that Real Betis are now willing to sign Antony on a permanent deal.

Antony set to continue his dominance in La Liga with Real Betis: Reports

Talks are going on between both the clubs to finalise the terms and get a green light on the fee structure, as per Fabrizio Romano. After joining Betis in the January transfer window, Antony has made an outstanding impact on the team, scoring 9 goals and providing 5 assists in the 26 appearances. The 25-year-old joined when the team were ninth on the table and helped them finish at sixth place, helping them qualify for the Europa League this season.

Manchester United reportedly demand a transfer fee more than €40m, which is going to be an obstacle for Real Betis to get the deal over the line. Betis’ Sporting Director Mani Fajardo confirmed recently that they will only sanction another move for Antony if it doesn't threaten their financial situation. Antony has not been included in the squad for Manchester United yet since the start of the pre-season. It will be interesting to see if Antony gets to continue his dominance in La Liga with Real Betis.
