West Ham United, one of the prominent clubs in the Premier League have had a rough start into this season. They are currently placed 19th in the league with only one win in the five matches. This has been one of the worst starts for West Ham in the Premier League and the club are keen on overcoming these challenges and bounce back.
To start off with the changes in order to reshape the club, West Ham on Saturday, September 27 confirmed the sacking of their manager, the 50-year-old Graham Potter just eight months into becoming the manager. The former Chelsea manager joined the club in January 2025. However, Potter has failed to impress the fans since taking over as West Ham’s performances have not been up to the mark of the expectations.

Upon the departure of Graham Potter from the club, West Ham released a statement saying, "Results and performances over the course of the second half of last season and the start of the 2025-26 season have not matched expectations. The board would like to thank Graham and his coaching staff for their hard work during their time with the Hammers and wish them every success for the future. The process of appointing a replacement is under way. The club will be making no further comment at this time.”
Graham Potter, who was preparing for the next match against Everton, has been removed from his role on immediate basis. According to latest developments, Nuno Espirito Santo, who was recently is the leading candidate to replace Potter as the new manager of West Ham United. It will be interesting to see which club will be interested to sign Potter as their new manager.
