Mohammed Agogo Barry, a Liberian footballer has been arrested for allegedly murdering his girlfriend following a break-up with her. Reportedly, the incident took place on Monday (June 6) at Montserrado County district, Bassa Town community.

The footballer Agogo Barry left a note seeking forgiveness from his family and fans after murdering his girlfriend. Reports claimed that he apologised to everyone for not taking their advice of ending the relationship. As per several reports, Barry's family requested and suggested the footballer to end the relationship since they suspected Lymas to be having a secret affair.

Agogo Barry wrote, “I know what I am about to do is sinful but I cannot live with it.” Adding further, he also advised all his fans to listen to their parents and do not make the mistake that he committed.

"Fellow brothers and sisters, be careful and do not make the mistake that I have made in life. Listen to your father and mother. I abandoned my family and friends for a woman, but she ditched me and destroyed my life and my future. I have lost everything in life," Agogo Barry quoted.

Reports also claimed that footballer Agogo Barry was on a run after murdering his girlfriend and police held a thorough search in the locality to search the whereabouts of the footballer. Earlier, Lymas' body was discovered on Monday morning, (June 6) at her Browerville residence in district 17, Montserrado County.

Lymas' uncle raised an alarm when he discovered the body and informed police that a six-paragraph letter was kept over her body. After checking the letter, it was revealed that Barry wrote the letter after murdering his girlfriend. The uncle of the deceased urged the national government to immediately launch an investigation in the death of his niece.
