Former Indian cricketer RP Singh loses his father to COVID-19

The rise in COVID-19 cases has not left anyone. Be it cricketers, Bollywood personalities or even our next door neighbours, the dreaded virus has taken a turn to the next level with its second wave. Not only did Indian woman cricketer Veda Krishnamurthy lost her mother and sister to COVID-19, but also young Rajasthan Royals pacer Chetan Sakariya lost his father. Notably, even veteran cricketer Piyush Chawla also lost his father in the battle against the virus.

RP Singh loses father

It has become too difficult for people to save themselves from the deadly virus and now it is the father of former Indian cricketer RP Singh who became the latest victim of the infection. RP was earlier a part of the IPL broadcasting team but pulled out midway before the suspension of the tournament due to his father's illness. His father was reportedly undergoing treatment at Medanta Hospital in Lucknow.

He shared the loss of his father via social media on Wednesday.
