In a recent development, it has now been confirmed that all-rounder Shivam Dube is set debut for the Rajasthan Royals against the Punjab Kings in IPL 2021. The star player was released by the Royal Challengers Bangalore ahead of the mini-auction this year. Dube will make his debut in a match that will also mark the captaincy debut of Sanju Samson in IPL.

169 runs, 4 wickets in Dube’s IPL career

In Dube’s short IPL career so far, he has scored 169 runs and picked up 4 wickets. However, his new team management has shown a lot of faith in him with Kumar Sangakkara heaping praise on the left-handed batsman for the kind of shots he has in his game. While he struggled for game time in the last 2 seasons with RCB, he is expected to play a significant role in RR’s campaign this year.

Morris not too worried about the price tag

Meanwhile, Morris, who was bought for a whopping Rs 16.25 crore has said prior to the tournament that he is not too worried about his price tag. He admitted that heavy prices do add to the pressure initially but things eventually ease out.

Morris was impressive in his stint with RCB last season and perhaps a buy back was also in their minds for Morris but Royals bought him eventually for this huge price. He will reunite for the franchise after six years.
