Steve Smith, who was roped in by the Delhi Capitals in this year's IPL auction, is enjoying his time with the rest of the Delhi Capitals squad. While he was the skipper of the Rajasthan Royals team last season, the team finished last on the points tally and decided to release captain Smith ahead of IPL 2021. Smith said that he is enjoying his life after getting out of hard quarantine. He acknowledged that the team has been doing well with three wins and one defeat in four matches but needs to continue the form going forward in the tournament.

Just about enough room for my gloves, says Smith

The former Australia captain revealed why he carries several pairs of gloves with him. "I do go through my gloves, it's pretty hot here, pretty sweaty. So, you know I go through probably at training 5 or 6 pairs and then if I bat for a certain amount of time, I will go through probable 11 every two overs or thereabouts," Smith said in a video released by the franchise.

He added that he then has to leave the gloves to dry so that they are ready for the next day.
