Virat Kohli hails MS Dhoni

October 10, 2021 - Remember the date! It will be etched in the history books as the day when MS Dhoni roared once again on the cricket field. Coming to Qualifier 1 against Delhi Capitals, the CSK captain had a very disappointing season individually and he had faced a lot of criticism by experts for his batting in the league stages. He was finding it hard to time the ball and the vintage MSD magic was missing which was for everyone to see.

However, the cricket gods finally set the stage for the 40-year-old to have the final laugh. Amid all the speculations around his retirement, MSD decided to promote himself ahead of Ravindra Jadeja at a very crucial juncture of the contest. He would have come under a lot of scrutiny had the move backfired but champions don't really think about failure and that's what happened in Dubai on Sunday.

The right-handed batsman tonked his second delivery for a flat six over deep mid-wicket boundary before he finished off things in style by hitting three boundaries in the final over to once again prove to everyone that he is one of the best-ever finishers to have graced the game.

The 32-year-old has always been one of the biggest admirers of MS Dhoni and he did not miss out the opportunity to express his love for his former captain. After the match, he admitted that Mahi's knock made him jump out of his seat once again on the night. He was delighted to see the CSK captain back in form as he also hailed MSD as the greatest finisher ever in the game.
