The ongoing fifth and final Test match between England and India has been an entertaining affair. The match has so far delivered superb bowling spells, counter-attack batting from the visitors and gave a glimpse of sledging as well. While India's dynamic batter Virat Kohli failed to entertain with his bat, he hogged a lot of limelight for sledging England batter Jonny Bairstow on Day 3 of the Test match.

While Kohli was hoping to disturb Bairstow's temperament, the decision to sledge England's in-form batter backfired as Bairstow supposedly got charged up after the incident and went on to hit his third century on the trot in red-ball cricket.

Responding to the Kohli-Bairstow verbal spat, former Indian batter Virendra Sehwag, who is widely known for his humour and wit took a sly dig at the Indian batter by highlighting how the incident inspired Bairstow to bring his 11th Test century. Taking to Twitter, Sehwag wrote, "Jonny Bairstow's Strike Rate before Kohli's Sledging -: 21 Post Sledging - 150 Pujara ki tarah khel rahe thhey, Kohli ne Pant banwa diya bewajah sledge karke."

However, Sehwag's post didn't go down well with one of the Twitter users as he immediately commented on the post and asked the former Indian cricketer, 'Sehwag would have tweeted had Bairstow gotten out after being sledged by Kohli?' [Agar after sledging immediately out ho jata to tweet karte aap?]. In response to fan's tweet, Sehwag nodded in agreement as he wrote, "Haan yaar, karta."

Notably, Bairstow was the highest run-getter for the hosts as none other batters could find the required momentum against India's pace attack. The Englishman went on to bring up his century off 119 deliveries and was eventually sent back by Mohammed Shami at the score of 106.
